Well That's my “answer” to Mark brooks' Scarlet witch that He did for heroescon : [link] (It's his photoshop edited version; I can't find a good pic of the original one :/ )
When I saw that stuff, I was wondering , ” Hey what could I do in the same kind of situation?” So I tried !
Painted on ragboard, so.. that's explain the main texture and the the fact the leather is not that smooth !
Scanned in 8 times, so… yeah it miss nearly 1,5″ on the righ side (your right)
DOn't really know about the proportions, I lost this concept after nearly 2 hours of work 
Hope it's ok however.

I think I'll edit that pic, some stuff are missing when it's about details. I just tried to paint this pic the faster as I could to see what's going on. Now I know 
TOOLS:
Drawing on ragboard then acrylics and markers. airbrush to soften the edges and links the tones.
Inks and colored pencils came after, then white paint for the final touches
